Warm greetings to our esteemed readers,
Each month, as I sit down to communicate with you through our newsletter; I am filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude. This gratitude is for each one of you who, month after month, entrust us with your time, reading and engaging with our content. Your continued trust and consumption of our content drive us, and I would like to take a moment to sincerely thank you for it.
The East Africa Philanthropy Network has been a beam of collective effort. I extend my deepest appreciation to the members of EAPN for their unwavering belief in our shared vision. It is your faith in our synergized efforts that propels us to aim higher, strive harder, and make a tangible difference. Our partners have been instrumental in our journey. Your firm support, insights, and contributions have been invaluable, and I cannot express enough how thankful we are for your partnership.
This edition comes packed with information and opportunities that you would not want to miss. At the heart of EAPN lies a fervent passion: to create vibrant platforms that stimulate pivotal and timely conversations. We are delighted to share our second round of this venture in this direction – the national philanthropy forums set to take place in Kisumu (Kenya), Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), and Kampala (Uganda). To enhance our symbiotic relationship with the media and amplify the narratives of philanthropy, these forums will coincide with media roundtables. With these steps, our aim is not just to fortify our bond with the media, but to ensure that the tales of achievements, milestones, and aspirations of the philanthropic space resonate across borders.
The upcoming “Lightup Impact Days Conference” in September is another feather in our cap. We are honored to co-host this significant event and I urge all our readers to attend, engage, and make the most of this opportunity. Mark your calendars for the WINGSForum this October, an event teeming with knowledge, collaboration, and inspiration.
Aligned with our commitment to fostering a knowledge-rich ecosystem, we are channeling significant resources towards research and learning. Our intent is to equip the sector with data-driven insights to make informed decisions. In this regard, we are exhilarated to announce our collaborative research project with WACSI. Your perspective, your wisdom, and your feedback are the lifeline of this project. I earnestly invite you to share them, ensuring our research truly captures the essence and challenges of our diverse philanthropic landscape.
Our mission is relentless. We are constantly incentivized to do more, to be more. To ensure you do not miss any of our updates, initiatives, or opportunities, do subscribe to our newsletter. Moreover, if the spirit of philanthropy stirs you to be a part of our growing network, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Together, we have achieved so much, and together, we will continue to shape the future of philanthropy in East Africa.
Thank you for being a part of this journey.
