This working group is open to philanthropy organizations addressing climate change, environment and conservation, and key
stakeholders in the CSO sector. The working group’s mandate would be to discuss trends in philanthropy’s contribution
towards the implementation of the Paris Agreement on climate change and in specific how to support the attainment of
SDG 13 on climate action. This will include but not limited to shaping the political debate on climate change, influencing
market dynamics through well-targeted investments towards environmental conservation, and building a strong civil society
movement through grassroots organizing to support climate change mitigation.
