Within this sphere, there is an apparent momentum towards adopting new grant-making methodologies, including impact investing, results-based financing, and blended finance. Philanthropy, with its inherent flexibility, exceeds traditional overseas development assistance in adaptability, positioning funders at the forefront of the innovative finance spectrum.

Given this setting, the importance of convening discussions around these emerging financial paradigms cannot be overstated. It is within this context that we extend an invitation to funders to participate in the “Trends in Innovative Finance: The Role of Philanthropy” roundtable session focused on the exploration of cutting-edge approaches to social investment and their impact. Scheduled for the 22nd of April 2023, from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Sarova Panafric Hotel, Valley Road, Nairobi, this session will see us dissect and comprehend how philanthropy can strategically utilize innovative finance to spearhead revolutionary change and propel sustainable development.
