Warm greetings for the new month! As we cross the seven-month mark of the year, we are gratified to recount a period marked by vibrant activities, significant opportunities, remarkable individuals, and, most importantly, impactful endeavors—all of which we attribute to your unwavering support.
We begin with a reflective look at the “2024 Grantmakers Summit,” aptly themed “Strategic Philanthropy in a Dynamic Era.” This summit gathered an esteemed assembly of philanthropic leaders, specialists, and innovators from around the globe, providing a pivotal platform for meaningful discussions, actionable strategies, and profound deliberations designed to advance the field of grantmaking. We sincerely thank all attendees, speakers, facilitators, and partners whose invaluable contributions enriched the summit. Their collective insights and expertise have been instrumental in allowing us to reflect, architect, and devise forward-thinking strategies to advance our field. We are eager to maintain and build upon the momentum generated.
Additionally, we successfully co-hosted the National Philanthropy Forums in Kakamega, Kenya, and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. These forums served as crucial gatherings for exchanging innovative ideas concerning community resourcing and harnessing innovative financing models, thereby nurturing intellectual engagements poised to influence the future trajectory of philanthropy.
We are also pleased to invite you to the forthcoming forums in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. Designed to foster dynamic discussions on pertinent sector issues, these forums aim to cultivate collaborative initiatives that align with our collective objectives.
Looking ahead, we encourage you to mark your calendars for the APF Conference in Morocco this October and the 2024 APN Assembly scheduled in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, from November 4-8, 2024. These events promise to bring together visionaries and innovators from across the globe, creating a collaborative platform for transformative change.
