Greetings to the EAPN Family,
We are pleased to present another edition of our Monthly Newsletter. I extend my deepest gratitude for your sustained engagement and readership, which significantly enhance our collective commitment to the impactful endeavors we hold dear.
Our members are indeed the cornerstone of the East Africa Philanthropy Network. The vigor with which you champion sustainable development is commendable and deserves our highest recognition. Your efforts foster revolutionary impacts and positive changes within communities across our region, genuinely inspiring me and all those affected.
The achievements we celebrate are evident for all to witness, and I must acknowledge the substantial role our partners play in realizing these successes. Your trust and collaboration have amplified many life-changing initiatives. Your timely partnerships inject vital energy into our operations, propelling us to reach new heights. We are confident that together, we will achieve even greater success. The Secretariat’s dedication to advancing our mission is indispensable. Your steadfast commitment continuously drives EAPN’s progress.
Recently, we convened the second Kenya Philanthropy Forum in Kwale, focused on “Innovating Local Resource Mobilization for Sustainability”—an educational exchange of ideas and perspectives. Following this, the Rwanda Philanthropy Forum in Kigali centered on “Advancing Evidence-Based Practices; Enhancing Skills in Measuring and Reporting Impact.” One of our key ambitions—unlocking domestic resources within East Africa—was the focal point of a high-level roundtable in Kigali under the theme: “High-Level Development Dialogue: Unlocking Domestic Resources Through Public-Private-Philanthropy Partnerships.” Our goal remains steadfast: to forge solid and productive partnerships and collaborations for effective resource mobilization.
Looking ahead, we anticipate engaging and stimulating activities. Noteworthy among these are the African Youth Philanthropy Network’s Connect 2024, the Philanthropy Forum of Ethiopia, and the APF Conference scheduled for October 27-29, 2024. Additionally, preparations are underway for the forthcoming Members Summit, and we will ensure you are kept well-informed.
In conclusion, I invite you to remain actively engaged. Share your stories, insights, and experiences—they significantly enrich our collective knowledge. If you have not yet subscribed to our channels, I encourage you to do so to receive timely updates. Until we connect again, enjoy this edition and remain committed to our shared journey. Thank you once again for your active participation and support.
