Evans Okinyi - Chief Executive Officer
Evans is the CEO of the East Africa Philanthropy Network.
He is a highly experienced and passionate Executive with over 7 years progressive experience in Organizational Management, Policy Formulation & Implementation, Stakeholders & Partnerships Management and Budgeting & Financial Management.
He holds a Masters degree in Economic Policy Management from the University of Nairobi and Bsc degree in Agri-Economics from Egerton University.
Andrew K. Njenga - Program Manager
Mr. Andrew is a skilled and passionate medical practitioner with over ten years’ vast experience in the niche sectors of gender based violence, HIV/AIDS, disaster management via curative, preventative and capacity development initiatives in high risk conflict areas. He has experience in resource mobilization, grants management and results based project execution.
He has developed professional skills in proposal writing, project management, monitoring and evaluation, systems structuring and developing models in theory of change from COTA international, Italy. He has passion in documenting the role of philanthropy in development of East Africa.
Mr. Joel Okwemba - Project Officer
Mr. Okwemba is an intellectual and practitioner of diplomacy with over 5 years of experience, focused on enhancing the peace and security agenda through a multi-sectoral approach and research.
He has engaged with multiple sectors in developing key partnerships that will sustainably and innovatively enhance the diplomatic ecosystem. In his work, he has engaged Governments, Inter-Governmental Organizations, UN Agencies, Private sector, NGOs and Academic Institutions.
He is a graduate from the University of Nairobi’s -Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies, with Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies.
Mike T. O’maera - Communications & Knowledge Management Officer
Mike is an experienced Communicator with vast capability gained over the last 14 years working in various positions of responsibility as well as undertaking studies and consultancies.
His educational background includes BA in Mass Communication, advanced Diplomas in Philosophy and Theology and is currently finalizing his MA in Journalism and Mass Communication at Chuka University.
Mike has a special interest in communication for development and the use of media to foster climate change adaptation and mitigation. He has enhanced skills in content development and management, Radio and TV programming, media Monitoring & Evaluation plans and framework. Besides, he has in-depth skills narrative report design, writing, and development.
